Tips for Contacting the Probation Department
- Email is the best way to reach your probation officer at cpetrocelli@32adc.net if you need an immediate response.
- You can also leave a voicemail at 313-343-2599, but it may take up to 72 hours to receive a response.
General phone call information:
- You must leave a voicemail to get a call returned.
- Speak clearly, slowly, and identify yourself.
- Make sure you provide the reason for the call when you leave a voicemail so we can best help you.
- Do not leave more than one message within a 72-hour period for the same issue. Be assured your message was heard and some one will be in contact as soon as possible.
- It is important for you to have your voicemail box available for call back messages.
Reasons you may not get a call back:
- Calls to inform the probation department you missed drug tests, meetings, classes, etc. may not be returned. In those cases, you will receive something in the mail to indicate the next steps (violation hearing, reschedule, etc.).
- If your case is “non-public” (i.e. 7411), you will not receive a call back. This is to protect your privacy. You must come in person with your photo ID to discuss your non-public case.
- Profanity, rudeness, or bullying will not be tolerated in a voicemail message and will not get you the answers you need any faster. We must all treat each other with mutual respect.
